Perforation and Micro-perforation
We perform Perforation and Micro-perforation. Perforation is used for sheets of paper or card stock, these perforations are 12 small holes per inch and are called the perforation marks. A great example of perforation is a postage stamp, which is perforated on every side. This process is made by piercing and boring the paper or card stock. Perforation allows the finished product to be torn and separated without damaging the cardstock or cardboard.
Perforation is card stock or a sheet of paper that has been perforated, micro perforation is when very small holes are punched into the paper or card stock. These perforations make it easier to separate by folding to tear the document along a dotted line. In micro peroration there are 30 small holes per inch with each perforation.
Perforation and Micro-perforation can be used for tickets, labels, business forms, certificates, and other printed products that need to be folded and torn at a specific location.
